Arianne Baker
Arianne's Report from Camerata
Arianne Baker has written a report of her recent scholarship at Tamworth Camerata, in Tamworth, Australia.
Arianne won the scholarship as a contestant at the Best of The West Awards, hosted by the Buller Country Music Club. Tamworth Camerata is a country music school for talented young performers, and Arianne was one of just 21 young performers to have been selected from around Australia and New Zealand to participate in their annual country music course in 2009.

Roger Tibbs Visiting - 12-13 June
The Waimea Music Club is pleased to announce that New Zealand entertainer Roger Tibbs will be joining us for our 20th Anniversary Celebration and club day to be held on 12-13 June 2010.
Roger, a regular on New Zealand's country TV series That's Country, has released several albums, including his runaway success Yodelling Man, and his latest album This Ole House.

South Islanders are Entertainer of the Year
The group South Islanders (club members Luke Connor and Paula Connor, with Aroha Williams-Pascoe and Chris Whitnell) were the 2009 senior winner of the NZCMA Country Music Entertainer of the Year Awards, which were held on Saturday, 3 October, 2009.
With this win, the group has won the right to enter the Trans-Tasman Entertainer of the Year Awards at the Norfolk Island Country Music Festival in 2010. Congratulations Luke and Paula!

Gretel
Waimea Music Club Sponsors Gretel
The Waimea Music Club is sponsoring a guide dog hopeful, Gretel, at the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind (RNZFB).
Gretel's a black Labrador, and she's currently progressing well, learning her basic guide dog duties with her puppy walking family. Keep up the good work!
